Question 1

Do I need a licensed electrician to install this 6-module plate?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Mounting the plate onto your wall box is simple, but wiring six switches or sockets behind it is real electrical work and should always go to a licensed electrician. The 6M Aura plate matches the standard 6-module box already used across Indian homes, so it fits their normal workflow.

Question 2

Is this plate BIS certified, and what is its load rating?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the plate is BIS certified alongside our switches and sockets. It is a mounting frame rather than a current-carrying component, so it does not have a load rating of its own, that comes from whichever switches or sockets are installed on it. It is rated for standard 240V circuits.

Question 3

Will this plate fit my existing 6-module switchboard?

Accepted Answer

It follows the standard 6-module cutout used across Indian modular switchboards, so it should fit your existing wall box without modification. It is built for Novre switches and sockets and generally works with other modular brands too, given how standardised module sizing is across the industry.

Question 4

What is the plate made from, and will Lunar White yellow?

Accepted Answer

It is fire-retardant PC+ABS, chosen for heat resistance around a row of six switches or sockets. Lunar White is UV-stabilised to resist yellowing from sunlight and daily use, and since the colour runs through the material rather than sitting as a coating, scuffs will not expose a different shade.

Question 5

What is the warranty on this plate?

Accepted Answer

It carries Novre's 15-year guarantee. If it cracks, fades unevenly, or the frame fails, WhatsApp us a photo, no receipt required, and we dispatch a free replacement within 48 hours. There is no dealer or claims desk involved, you deal with Novre directly.

Question 6

Can I install this plate in a bathroom?

Accepted Answer

It is built for standard indoor use and is not IP-rated for direct water exposure. Ordinary bathroom humidity is fine, but keep it away from splash zones near a shower or basin. For wet areas, ask your electrician about IP44-rated accessories instead, especially with six points on one plate.
