Question 1

Do I need an electrician to fit this 4-module plate?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for the wiring. The 4M Aura plate itself mounts onto your wall box with basic screws, but the four switches or sockets it holds need to be wired by a licensed electrician. It uses the same standard 4-module box electricians already work with every day.

Question 2

Is the plate BIS certified? What load can it handle?

Accepted Answer

The plate holds BIS certification, in line with our switches and sockets. As a non-electrical mounting frame, it has no load rating of its own, load is determined by whichever switches or sockets you fit onto it. It is built for standard 240V Indian household wiring throughout.

Question 3

Will this fit my current 4-module switchboard cutout?

Accepted Answer

It is built to the standard 4-module sizing used across Indian modular switchboards, so it should fit your existing wall box. It is designed for Novre switches and sockets and, in most cases, accepts other modular brands as well, since sizing is broadly standardised industry-wide.

Question 4

What is the plate made of, and does the white finish yellow?

Accepted Answer

It is fire-retardant PC+ABS, a blend picked for its heat tolerance around electrical fittings. The Lunar White finish is UV-stabilised, so it holds its shade under sunlight and regular cleaning far better than painted plates. Colour runs through the material, so scuffs will not show a different tone underneath.

Question 5

What warranty does this plate carry?

Accepted Answer

It comes with Novre's 15-year guarantee. If the plate cracks, discolours unevenly, or the frame fails, send a photo over WhatsApp, no receipt needed, and we ship a free replacement within 48 hours. You deal with Novre directly, no dealer or call centre involved.

Question 6

Is this plate okay for a bathroom?

Accepted Answer

It is designed for standard indoor conditions and is not IP-rated for direct water. Regular bathroom humidity will not affect it, but avoid placing it where it could get splashed directly, near a shower or basin. For those spots, ask your electrician about IP44-rated fittings instead.
