Question 1

How is a 2-way switch different to install?

Accepted Answer

A 2-way switch is wired in a pair, since it's used to control one light from two locations, like a staircase or corridor. If you're replacing an existing 2-way switch, it goes into the same plate using the same three terminals. For a new circuit, have an electrician run the wiring, since the connection differs from a standard one-way switch.

Question 2

Is this switch safe for daily use?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It uses fire-retardant PC+ABS housing with silver alloy contacts on brass springs, built to handle repeated switching without wear. It's BIS certified under IS:3854, and the certificate number is listed on the product page for you to verify directly at bis.gov.in.

Question 3

What happens if this switch fails?

Accepted Answer

It's covered for 15 years from purchase. If the switching mechanism or contacts stop working properly, send us a WhatsApp photo and we'll ship a free replacement within 48 hours. No receipt or dealer visit required.

Question 4

Does this fit standard modular plates?

Accepted Answer

Yes. This is a 1-module 2-way switch built to standard Indian modular dimensions, so it fits any existing 3, 6, or 8-module frame you already have installed. No change to your plate or wall box is needed.

Question 5

What finish and materials does this switch use?

Accepted Answer

The switch body is fire-retardant PC+ABS with brass contact springs and silver alloy contact points. Lunar White is a matte, soft-white finish that stays neutral against most wall colours and other fittings.

Question 6

Is 20A enough for a staircase or corridor light circuit?

Accepted Answer

Yes, 20A is well above what a typical staircase or corridor lighting circuit draws. This rating gives headroom for higher-draw points too, so the switch works reliably across both light lighting circuits and heavier 2-way applications.
