Question 1

Can I install this switch myself?

Accepted Answer

The switch mounts on a standard 1-module modular plate and frame using screw terminals. If you're comfortable working with your home's electrical board, installation takes a few minutes. If not, any licensed electrician can fit it quickly, since it uses the same mounting and wiring pattern as any standard modular switch.

Question 2

Is this switch safe for continuous use?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The housing is fire-retardant PC+ABS and the internal contacts are silver alloy on brass springs, rated to handle sustained loads without overheating. It carries BIS certification under IS:3854, which you can verify directly on the BIS website using the licence number on the product page.

Question 3

What does the 15-year guarantee cover?

Accepted Answer

Every Novre switch is covered for 15 years from the date of purchase. If the mechanism, contacts, or finish fail, WhatsApp us a photo and we dispatch a replacement within 48 hours. No receipt is needed and there's no dealer to go through.

Question 4

Will this switch fit my existing switch board?

Accepted Answer

Yes. This is a 1-module (1M) switch built to standard Indian modular sizing, so it fits any standard 3, 6, or 8-module modular frame and plate already on your board. You don't need to replace your existing plates or boxes to install it.

Question 5

What is the switch made of and what does Lunar White look like?

Accepted Answer

The body is fire-retardant PC+ABS with brass contact springs and silver alloy contact points inside. Lunar White is a clean, soft white finish with a matte surface, designed to sit flush and neutral against most wall colours.

Question 6

What is the load rating of this switch?

Accepted Answer

This is a 20A one-way switch, rated for higher-draw circuits such as geysers, air conditioners, or heavy appliance points. For a single-direction on/off circuit at 20 amps, this switch handles the load without derating.
