Question 1

Can I install this bell push switch myself, or do I need an electrician?

Accepted Answer

The switch fits into any standard 1-module modular plate the same way as a regular switch, so an electrician who has already wired your doorbell circuit can swap it in minutes. If you are wiring a new bell circuit from scratch, we recommend using a licensed electrician since it involves working with your main supply.

Question 2

Is this switch safe to use with a doorbell circuit at home?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It carries a 10A rating, well above what a typical doorbell draws, and is BIS certified under IS:3854. The housing is fire-retardant PC+ABS and the internal contacts are silver alloy on brass springs, built to handle repeated momentary presses without arcing or heating up.

Question 3

What warranty does this bell push switch carry?

Accepted Answer

15 years from the date of purchase. If the mechanism, spring action, or finish fails at any point, WhatsApp us a photo and we dispatch a free replacement within 48 hours. No receipt, no dealer, no paperwork.

Question 4

Will this fit the modular plates and boards I already have at home?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it is built to the standard Indian modular format and fits any 1-module (1M) plate or frame from other brands, provided the plate opening follows the standard modular cutout. You do not need to replace your existing board or plate to install it.

Question 5

What is this switch made of, and what finish does it come in?

Accepted Answer

The body is fire-retardant PC+ABS, the same housing material used across our range, finished in Lunar White with a matte surface that resists fingerprints and yellowing over time. Internally it uses brass contact springs and silver alloy contact points for a consistent bell press over years of use.

Question 6

What is the load rating, and can I use it for anything other than a doorbell?

Accepted Answer

It is rated for 10A. While it is designed and labelled as a bell push switch for momentary contact use like doorbells and buzzers, it can technically switch other low-draw momentary loads within the same rating. We do not recommend using it as a standard on/off switch for lighting or appliances, since it is a push-to-make, not a latching switch.
