Question 1

How do I install a blanking plate?

Accepted Answer

It mounts directly onto any standard modular frame using the same two screw points as a switch or socket module. No wiring is involved since it only covers an empty opening, so most people fit it themselves with a screwdriver in under a minute.

Question 2

Is a blanking plate safe to touch?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It carries no current, contacts, or wiring — it exists purely to seal an unused module. The plate itself is fire-retardant PC+ABS, the same housing material used across our switches and sockets, so it resists heat and everyday knocks safely.

Question 3

What does the warranty cover?

Accepted Answer

15 years from the date you buy it. If the plate cracks, warps, or the finish fades, WhatsApp us a photo and we send a free replacement within 48 hours. No receipt required, no dealer visit needed.

Question 4

Will it fit my switchboard?

Accepted Answer

It fits any standard Indian modular frame — 3, 6, or 8 module. This is a 1-module (1M) size, so measure your open slot before ordering to confirm it matches.

Question 5

What's the plate made of and what finish does it come in?

Accepted Answer

Fire-retardant PC+ABS housing, finished in matte Lunar White. It's the same polycarbonate-ABS blend used in our full switch and socket range, chosen for a seamless, non-glossy look against the frame.

Question 6

Does a blanking plate have a load or power rating?

Accepted Answer

No. Since it carries no electrical connection, there's no load rating to consider. It's simply a cover for a module you're not using yet.
