Question 1

How is a raised socket installed differently from a regular one?

Accepted Answer

It mounts into a standard 2M modular frame the same way, but the socket face sits slightly raised to accept bulkier plug tops used on ACs and geysers. Wiring should be done by a licensed electrician since it carries a heavier load.

Question 2

Is this socket safe for high-power appliances?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It's BIS certified under IS:3854, built with silver alloy contacts and brass contact springs inside fire-retardant PC+ABS housing, specifically rated to handle sustained heavy current without overheating.

Question 3

What's covered under the guarantee?

Accepted Answer

15 years from the date of purchase. If the socket fails at the mechanism or contact level, WhatsApp us a photo and we'll send a free replacement within 48 hours — no receipt, no dealer needed.

Question 4

Does this fit standard modular boards?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it needs a 2-module (2M) opening on any standard Indian modular frame. Confirm your board has the space free before ordering.

Question 5

What's it made of?

Accepted Answer

Fire-retardant PC+ABS housing with brass contact springs and silver alloy contacts, finished in matte Lunar White.

Question 6

What's the load rating and what should I plug in?

Accepted Answer

Rated for 16 amps, built for AC units, geysers, and other heavy continuous-draw appliances. For lighter everyday use like lamps or chargers, a 6A socket is a better fit and costs less.
