Question 1

Do I need an electrician to install this?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for the wiring. The socket body fits a standard 2M modular frame, but connecting it to your circuit involves live wires, so we recommend a licensed electrician handle that part — it's a quick job, usually under ten minutes.

Question 2

Is a 13A socket safe for regular household use?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It's BIS certified under IS:3854 with silver alloy contacts and brass contact springs housed in fire-retardant PC+ABS. These are the same materials and standards used across our full range, built to handle higher-draw appliances without excess heat buildup.

Question 3

What does the warranty cover?

Accepted Answer

15 years from purchase, covering any failure in the mechanism or contacts. If something goes wrong, send a photo over WhatsApp and we'll ship a free replacement within 48 hours — no receipt or dealer involvement needed.

Question 4

Will this socket fit my current board?

Accepted Answer

It fits any standard Indian modular frame, provided you have a free 2-module (2M) opening. Check your existing frame size before ordering.

Question 5

What is the socket made from?

Accepted Answer

Fire-retardant PC+ABS housing with brass contact springs and silver alloy contact points, in a matte Lunar White finish.

Question 6

What appliances can I run on this socket?

Accepted Answer

It's rated for 13 amps, suited to higher-draw appliances like irons, heaters, and toasters. For continuous heavy loads such as ACs or geysers, use our 16A raised universal socket instead.
