Question 1

Can I install this socket myself?

Accepted Answer

The socket module clips into a standard 2M modular frame, but it needs to be wired into your circuit. Because that involves live connections, we recommend a licensed electrician handle the wiring — it typically takes about ten minutes per socket.

Question 2

Is this socket BIS certified?

Accepted Answer

Yes, certified under IS:3854. It's built with silver alloy contact points and brass contact springs inside a fire-retardant PC+ABS housing, the same safety standard used across our entire switch and socket range. You can verify the licence number at bis.gov.in.

Question 3

What's covered under the 15-year guarantee?

Accepted Answer

Any mechanism or contact failure over 15 years from purchase. Send us a WhatsApp photo of the fault and we dispatch a free replacement within 48 hours — no receipt, no dealer, no back and forth.

Question 4

Does this fit my existing switchboard?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if your board uses a standard Indian modular frame. This is a 2-module (2M) unit, so it needs a 2M opening on your current plate or frame to fit correctly.

Question 5

What materials and finish does it use?

Accepted Answer

Fire-retardant PC+ABS housing with brass contact springs and silver alloy contacts, finished in matte Lunar White to match the rest of our range.

Question 6

What can I safely plug into a 6A socket?

Accepted Answer

Lamps, phone and laptop chargers, fans, and other small electronics. For heavier loads like irons or water heaters, choose our 13A or 16A socket instead — this one isn't rated for continuous high draw.
