Question 1

How is a bell push switch wired differently from a regular switch?

Accepted Answer

A bell push switch is momentary, meaning it only completes the circuit while pressed, unlike a regular on/off switch. It connects to your doorbell or chime circuit using the same two terminals a standard bell push uses, so any electrician familiar with your existing setup can swap it in directly.

Question 2

Is this switch safe for frequent daily pressing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It's built with a fire-retardant PC+ABS housing and durable internal contacts designed for repeated momentary use, which is what a doorbell circuit requires. It's BIS certified under IS:3854, verifiable using the licence number listed on the product page.

Question 3

What if the bell push stops responding?

Accepted Answer

It's covered for 15 years from purchase. If the push mechanism stops making contact or the indicator fails, WhatsApp us a photo and we'll dispatch a free replacement within 48 hours, no receipt or dealer needed.

Question 4

Does this fit a standard 2-module plate?

Accepted Answer

Yes. This is a 2-module (2M) switch built to standard Indian modular dimensions, so it fits any existing 2M slot on your current frame and plate without modification.

Question 5

What is the finish and build quality?

Accepted Answer

The body is fire-retardant PC+ABS with durable internal contact springs, finished in matte Lunar White. The indicator sits flush within the rocker so it doesn't disrupt the clean line of the plate.

Question 6

Is 10A sufficient for a doorbell circuit?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Doorbell and chime circuits draw very little current, so 10A gives more than enough headroom. This rating is standard for bell push switches and is not a limiting factor for this use case.
