Question 1

How is this switch installed, and can any electrician fit it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. This is a standard 10A modular switch that fits directly into any standard Indian modular switchboard frame — 3, 6, or 8 module. Any qualified electrician can wire it in using the same terminals and screw connections as your existing switches. No special tools or rewiring are required, and installation typically takes a few minutes per switch.

Question 2

Is this switch safe for daily household use?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The housing is fire-retardant PC+ABS, which resists heat build-up and does not sustain a flame if overheated. Internal contacts are silver alloy on brass springs, which handle repeated on-off cycles without pitting or arcing. The switch is BIS certified under IS:3854, the safety standard for household switches sold in India.

Question 3

What warranty does this switch carry, and how do I make a claim?

Accepted Answer

This switch is covered for 15 years from the date of purchase. If the mechanism, finish, or contact fails within that period, WhatsApp us a photo of the issue and we dispatch a free replacement within 48 hours. You do not need the original receipt, and there is no dealer or third party involved.

Question 4

Will this switch fit my existing switchboard and plates?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It is built to the standard modular format used across Indian homes, so it fits standard 1-module openings in any compatible frame, whether that frame is from Novre or another modular brand. If your current board uses a non-modular or older legacy format, check the opening size before ordering.

Question 5

What is the switch made of, and will the finish wear down?

Accepted Answer

The body is fire-retardant PC+ABS with a matte Lunar White finish. Internal contacts are silver alloy on brass springs. The finish is not a coating that can chip or fade — the colour runs through the material, so daily wiping with a damp cloth will not dull it over normal use.

Question 6

What load can this switch safely handle?

Accepted Answer

This is rated for 10A at 240V, suitable for standard lighting circuits, fans, and small appliances. It is not designed for high-draw loads like air conditioners, geysers, or induction cooktops — those need a 16A or higher-rated socket and switch, which we also carry. Staying within its rated load keeps the contacts from degrading early.
